The Law Graduate Assessment Test (LAW GAT) is conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). It is mandatory for LLB graduates who wish to register as Advocates and begin legal practice in Pakistan.

The test assesses a candidate’s understanding of core legal subjects including:

• Constitutional Law

• Jurisprudence

• Civil Law

• Criminal Law

• Law of Evidence

• Professional Ethics

Eligibility: LLB degree from a recognized university
Conducted By: HEC Pakistan
Passing Marks: 50%
Frequency: Held several times a year
Purpose: Required for licensing by the Pakistan Bar Council
